Purpose
The air – foam apparatus is intended for fire extinguishing in machinery spaces on ships by means of foam with ratio 1:64 up to 1: 1000
The air – foam apparatus is mounted onboard by welding of its foundation.
Enclosed documents: working drawing, specification and certificate in Bulgarian, Russian and English.
The air – foam apparatus is painted in red colour.
Rules for service:
In case of fire, the hose is united and taken down on floor, the foam generator is taken and the air bottle starting valve is opened. The cock to the foam generator is opened and the obtained foam jet is directed to the centre of the fire in order to cover the flame with foam layer.
