Steam receivers are intended for use in waste heat recovery systems and ensure the ship with steam for auxiliary needs at running mode.
Steam receivers work together with exhaust gas boiler with forced circulation and do the following duties:
- separate the steam from steam water mixture from EGB;
- maintain determined range of the working pressure at changes of steam consumption;
- ensure necessary volume for compensation of the possible fluctuations of the water level when starting the cold boiler or at variable conditions of operation.
Steam receivers are with automatic or manual control.
